Disclaimer

I am not a computer programmer. I have no official standing with the Django project, and I've never met any of the developers. I don't know Python very well. I'm not proficient with HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, or Javascript. I have never created a website for a client, spoken at a web development conference, or published a relevant article on a respectable website.

And I hate jazz.

I do have an interest in building dynamic websites. After evaluating the different options currently available I decided to give Django and Python a try. As I learn the framework I am taking notes, and the result is this website. If you are looking for Django expertise, you will not find it here.

I am well aware that other web frameworks and other programming languages exist. You may feel the need to tell me why a particular framework or a particular language is superior to Python and Django. Please don't. Which brings me to me to my final point:

This site likely contains errors factual, aesthetic, and moral. It will be littered with grammar, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. I will randomly insult people that I don't know personally, and make wide ranging statements about things I know next-to-nothing about.

This site comes with no warranty, and may actually be detrimental to your goal of becoming a Django developer. You have been warned.

If you are still interested, read on.
